Hospital Apprentice 1c Harold Clyde Craig
Branch of Service: U.S. Navy
Hometown: Battle Creek, MI
Status: KIA

Got this from wwiimemorial.com then search the registry. I don't like the engraving though. Not government issue but could have been jeweler done. Not sure of time period it was done though.

I've got to disagree with SS on the engraving. It's a good USN issued piece.
Dwight,
Sorry, I was not familiar that the Navy had a different style, shows what I know. Thanks for the lesson. Paul, you might be able to get a file from the national archives. I have a KIA purple heart I am still researching as well. Sorry for the bad info on the engraving, kind of new area to me.
Good hunting!

A Day late and Dollar short, but for what it's worth I found out that he was killed on August 2nd 1944 in the Battle for Tinian while serving with the 2nd Marines. This was a great set. Thanks for posting it Paul.

Thank you to Kurt Barrickman (researcher extraordinaire) for his efforts.
hello jerry- you were not short. i moved to fast. that will not happen again. thanks paul
Thanks Paul,
Next to Motown, Detroit Rock City, and Kid Rock you're still my favorite thing in Michigan!
