Picked up a pretty nice 101st AB M42 jacket at our show here in Toledo today, came in the door, condition is really nice with just minor age, 101st patch is original to the tunic he was a corporal but the stripes have been removed, all the zippers are intact and working, just a couple minor repairs. I'll post pics soon just wanted to share my find, I'm actually surprised one came into the show, I know these are getting almost impossible to find. Also there is a guy selling part of his US collection and he has a real sweat set of USMC camos there. Pretty decent show for US stuff this weekend.

Is it named, interior serial numbers or identifiable and is there a belt with it?

Hi John, no belt unfortunatly, as for markings the only markings are laundry numbers stamped on the collar that maybe able to be traced but it's a needle in the haystack scenario with that.

Most of the guy I think removed the belts for comfort reasons, as they were sewn into the back. Which makes finding on with a belt quite rare.

Great looking Jumper though! Another good find
Thanks for sharing it with us!

Jerry,

You may be correct but I have never heard that the soldiers removed the belts for their comfort and if as you say "they were sewn in", then why would so many be lost or missing as is many times the case?

However, it is a nice jacket even absent of the belt.

Thanks John and Jerry! It's a nice one and I think it's found a home for awhile here. There is a good chance that this will be identified thru the laundry markings in the tunic. I'll keep you posted as to what I am able to find.

Thanks John! I'm trying to ID it, hopefully I can, I've talked to a couple people and they are looking into it. I'll keep you updated of any developments.
