Well, about a week ago I received a phone call from a vet, well needless to say it was the call of a lifetime, 1st Lt 101st AB parachute field artillery, he made the Market Garden op, fought in the bulge at Bastogne, went into Berchesgarten and finisshed the war there, he was awarded the purple heart with oakleafs and the bronze star, he was glider qualified and also jump qualified and was authorized to wear both according to his seperation paperwork which I have a copy of. One of the nicest and most humble man I have ever had the pleasure to meet and talk. Here are just a few pics of a few of the items I received. Virtually everything has his name on it except a couple of his bring backs.

7 he made letters and numbers from a white supply chute and put them on a piece of blue supply chute for this.

Fritz,
This is the stuff dreams are made of!
Thanks for sharing it~
Holy Crap! I think you just hit the jackpot. And to get a sit down with him was probably the best part.
Nice!
Great score many years ago I had a pair of boots just like yours and they fitted perfect. But I wore them out by hunting and motorcycle riding.
Well, I met with the vet again last night and picked up a few more things that he had found, named bed roll, named B3(?) suit case, named HBT coverall, another pair of swim trunks with 101 and airborne command patch sewn on them, I think they are made from a blue parachute and they are dated 43, CYQ P38 with holster, knife, Florescent yellow vest thing issued during the market garden op, pull chute from his reserve parachute. This has turned into one of the best groupings I have ever found and has become a center piece to my collection. Stuff is still out there. I'll try and post pics tonight.
