found this dagger while cleaning stuff after my greatgrandmother.
the maker is carl jul krebs - how does it rate on the rarity scale?

can you give some advice how to get rid of the rust on the blade and not destroy it? and what would you recommend to do with it to preserve it?

Clean it with special oil for weapons with a soft cloth, with great care and patience and you can remove a lot of dirt without damaging it, try to keep what you already have, I think you can get an example more than decent, a cordial greeting.
