Hello,
this is my relative new SA dagger from Hugo Köller. It is a pity that it has broken the tip of a dagger. Luckily it's only a little bit. At first glance, it fortunately is not visible.
I hope, You like it..
The tip does not look broken to me.(?) Are the fittings plated?
Hi Jirka,
Nice to see you here my friend. I suppose it only "looks" of the dagger has plated fittings and we see a mix of cleaned and uncleaned parts?
Otherwise it can be a problem that you have technically a "parts" dagger?
Regards, Wim
Hi Wim! Thanks! Me too!
I am a layman... and I do not understand You!

It is only Half a millimeter. I will took better pictures of fittings.
There is the SA Gruppe Brandenburg stamping on the crossguard (correct for Hugo Köller), so it must be a nickle silver crossguard. It looks like extra plated though.
Really nice wood! The makers mark is pretty neat also.
Some pictures of cross guards
Plating over alpacca (nickel silver).
Dzjjee... I don't knew that. A nickle plating over the nickle silver alloy? I suppose they diden't do that very often? But I suppose it created a more shiny chroom like appereance when new?
