Locally seller offering to sell me this dagger, said he bought it from a son of a WW2 Vet that took it from a captured German. What are your opinions? Thanks for the help.

Good piece in decent collectible condition $350 to $450 at the Max and SOS and you can haggle with a motivated dealer/seller cheers, Ryan

Thanks, it looked good to me but just wanted some more opinions, but the guy wants $600 firm. Nice piece but do not think I would buy it at that price honestly since I could buy a nicer SA dagger for that money. Hopefully the guy would be open to a trade. Last question I had was is RZM M7/81/38 a rare maker for SA daggers? Was told it was but not totally sure. Thanks again Ryan, next beer is on me.

If he sticks to $600 in cash or trades, don't bite. Save up a bit more and go for a early maker-marked model.

Rare? No one has really tried to put that chart together. I don't this maker is any harder to find that any other.

I will probably move on unless he lowers the price, he paid $580 and wants $600 so I highly doubt he will lower the price. Maybe he would be interested in a trade, I will be sure to let you guys all know.
Hi glad to help I agree with Dave. You can find better conditioned, better quality/condition maker marked SA for that asking price, occasionally on this site's classified section. RZM SA daggers just do not command the attention and desirability of the earlier pieces. I used to purchase mint, tagged and un-issued SA plated daggers. They are still extremely difficult to move at profit. Attend some militaria shows and you will find daggers like this one for $250 +++ I have seen them cheers, Ryan
