This s a group picture of some I bought today.
I will post each in the relevant forum.
This is one of the best I have seen in a very long time. pictures are shrink wrapped so detail does not give this dagger justice. I doubt I will ever be able to upgrade this rare beauty. It ticks all the boxes and came from an 80 year old collector that decided to cash in. I have so far had 7 items from his collection. I will post the others as i get time to take piccies.
Enjoy.....
grip again there is not a single mark on the
another angle. the scabbard still has a lot of lacquer on it
motto, taken in very bright sunlight
motto different angle it is superb
a bird in the hand.......
Thank you for looking.
This has made my week.
Hello Spock,

Frank,
A great score and thats a top notch SA. The slant gripped army......is it silver plate or an aluminium?. My mailbox is demanding pictures, congrats.
Nice! Always nice to get nice stuff!
PVON
Fantastic Score Congratulations ! Thanks For Sharing.
Very envious top notch SA here
IMO; after viewing thousands of SAs over the years,The Steinbach makers quality is unsurpassed. The blade etches and blackening are usually heads above even the most notable Solingen makers. Congradulations on some nice finds.
Jim
That is a beautiful SA, Spock, congratulations!
Herman

Thank you all for the comments. It is a shame that we cannot all meet down the pub and have a show and tell evening. It would be great share these items in person. Pictures can go some way but hands on is always better.
That is a good thing about forums and the INTERNET. We get to show our passion to a far greater audience, discuss topics and move the hobby on.
Gary I will bring it to Beltring just let me know what day you are attending.
Thanks all.
I can count the fingers on one hand for all of the David Malsch SA's I have heard of. Your grip is very similar to mine. The concentric circles of the wood come together right at the eagle. I agree with jim m about the superior craftsmanship. Congratulations!
Spock very nice, dont tell me you won them playing cards on the enterprise!
