Is this a laser etch?

Hard to tell from the photo. The give away is they are usually perfect and very uniformly dark. The maker mark on your photo doesn't seem to be centered on the center ridge of the blade. The ridge does seem a bit pronounced for an early dagger. Here a photo of a genuine example.

Not a laser etch.
The logo is perfectly fine.

How would the logo look like if it was a laser etch, Krikke?

Got to google that Murrell.
Plenty examples of laser etching on the internet.

Laser etching are perfectly straight edged lines in logo and letters.
Genuine etchings were made by acid and boiling so perfect lines cannot be made by such process.
