I would like your opinions on this dagger as I am seriously considering buying it. I really appreciate it.

I remember.... long time ago, something president of Porsche said in an interview...

"There are no two equal 911s cause workers are permitted to drink beer in working hours..."

It seams Mr. Herder also permitted his workers to drink beer in working hours...

Lol

We can appeciate Roman I behind #3... and number 4 twice.... this is not an example of german perfection...

I hope the numbers were put on by the owner himself maybe in the field. I don't think he knew what to do with that roman numeral.

Wow that stamping is really bad. My temps at work did better work then that.

I like it though. Gives it character. Better then no number at all as it can be researched.

I absolutely agree. That piece is unique... you could identify it mixed among one million daggers.

Besides... the investigation job to find his first owner!

I was looking for one like this... first period... numbered... but one particular M36 captured all my attention... my first period one will have to wait for a while...

You all make a very good point, it does give it some character.

There is a match to an owner per Russ Kellbaugh. Waiting for his information: I feel very lucky about that.
thanks for the kind comments.
