I have an Numbered ss dagger m 1933, all nickel fittings and nickel eagel, the blade has no maker mark, When the factory removed the Röhm inscription , often some of the makers mark remained on the blade. But where there earls 1933 daggers whitout makers mark? And did some maker erase both inscription and makers mark from the blade?
In wittmans ss book he writes that some early blades had no mm

Also Fisher speaks of M33 with no maker mark.
I see them for sale from time to time.
Does anyone has a pic of the grip on The
Ss dagger made by 188/35? And Did 188/35 make daggers before The rzm period? My numbered ss dagger has The same motto as The 188/35 dagger, but no makers mark
Then your dagger is probably a full ground Rohm dagger with also the makerlogo removed.
188/35 is an unknown maker.
Please post some pictures of your dagger. Thx.
the motto looks like the motto on rzm 188/35 daggers

Hello Fredrik,
I own one of these early daggers, without TM! The motto pattern on these unmarked blades are always the same. In my experience,
Regards,
Gerd
It has a rather big gap between the
Grip and the lower crossguard, but The
Fit to The higher crossguard is
Perfect, It could be an replacement grip or How much is The maximum gap on an original grip?

Sorry for any confusion Fredrik, but I meant the gap from the cross guard to the motto. It looks similar to mine!
Gerd
Ok,and I meant The gap between grip and lower crossguard 😀

Not the same motto imo. Look carefull to the 'e's...
Imo a full ground Röhm SS dagger with low SS servicenumber.
Ok thanks, ss man 3509 was Andreas Turnhofer and he joined ss 1930. He was also a partymember whit rather low members number, in The 290000 region

A Röhm dagger......from what kind of maker are you talking about?
No Böker,Eickhorn,Hammesfahr,Herder,or Klaas.

Gerd
may be that the lower crossguard has been replaced??
If The lower is changed, then The upper must have been changed too, both is in The same material and have the same
patina, and The Fit to The blade is Perfect, early daggers Where hand fitted, also the grip fits great whit the crossguards, only one bigger gap on obe side against The lower crossguard.

Guards might be Eickhorn. But I also realize that the runesbutton is not the type Eickhorn used. (which isn't a red flag eventually)
He can very carefully open the dagger and look if the guards are 'H E' marked...
