I would appreciate all comments and opinions on this numbered Herder. Photos are not great. I took them without a tripod. There are a few more pages of documentation but I kept it to 10 photos total.

Thank you in advance for your opinions.

Thanks zoza. They are being held for me until my funds come in. I'm in London and am transfering funds from my bank in the US. They will be mine in about a week. The guy that I'm buying these from has some great things.

I just added this photo. Here is an interesting part of this SS Obersturmfuhrer's SS file.

I'm not sure how you can enlarge the letters but it looks like this guy was under Dirlewanger and was in Dachau for a short time.

Always nice if these daggers came with documents.
Congrats!

Thanks Gerd. I agree with you. It is always exciting when you can attach history to these pieces.

That my friend is a nice dagger! Love the serial numbers when on the bottom!

You're right,Ed
He was born in Ansbach(bavaria)and was member of the 34th SS Standarte.
A part of the 1st and 34th standarte was converted in "SS-Sonderkommando 1" of the SS Brigade Sd.
The leader was Theodor Eicke.
