Oh Boy, finally I have taken some pics of this one which I have owned for many years and always wondered about. I don't remember when I got it or what I paid. I guess that's good because it confusing and I have some doubts. Can you fellows please give me some opinions?

Looks like that may not be the original blade based upon the crossguard fit. Also the skulls look a little odd to me. Compare them to my avatar.

Looks as a complete fake to me !

I am not that experienced too but at least the chain looks to be fake to me!

The runic button looks wrong too.

Parts dagger with a fake chain assembly maybe.

The blade appears to be a Spanish copy, the links look like they're cast instead of die struck. The top scabbard fitting also has a round-rolled edge and poor fit which is also seen on the Spanish copies.

Red

I think that only grip and crossguards are original but not of the same dagger. Scabbard shell might be good too and upper and lower fittings. Upper one is 1936 SS dagger modified.
