There is an original Hitler painting of the famous castle in Bavaria which the Disney castle is based on coming up at an auction. Its got good provenance. I've noticed that his paintings tend to go for about E30,000 whereas Winston Churchill's sell for hundreds of thousands or even millions. I think a Hitler painting provided it is genuine (which this one almost certainly is) might be a good investment longterm. He was afterall the most influential and notorious person of the 20th century and is portrayed as the personification of evil which should ensure people will remain curious about him for many many years to come. Any thoughts? What price would you pay if you had the money. Bidding starts at 15,000E

The painting was a genuine Hitler watercolour with good provenance. It sold at Hermann Historica for E28,000.

Hitler was a hack artist. He did not have the talent to get into the Vienna art school. Whoever paid that kind of cash for a water color is a moron.

Yeah it's a hell of a lot of money for a small painting but then again he (Hitler) is one of the most famous/ notorious humans that ever lived. When you think that some German Daggers sell for the same sort of money with no identifiable owner, let alone Hitler, and then consider the fact that Churchill's painting sell for millions, some people might say it was a bargain.

John Lennon's tooth sold for $32,000 last week!!!!
