I picked this up in Skopje today. The medallion is for Ernst Thalmann and measures 154mm diameter and 14mm thick and was made by Meissen. Can someone translate the writing on the back. I have been to all three of these locations while I was posted in Germany. I believe this was produced in the GDR as he was a communist leader and died in Buchenwald. Thank you for your assistance.
