Here are 2 very nice fire helmet front plates . The first one is for the city of Stuttgart .
Upper portion shows a 'Feuerwehr' helmet.
The center has the city coat-of-arms shield.
The 2nd plate is mounted to the front of a metal 'Feuerwehr' helmet and reads " Nassauer Feuerwehr Verband ".

Very nice Feuerwehr badge and helmet. Great additions to any collection.
Just an FYI, the 1st might have been used in Stuttgart, but the seal is actually that of Württemberg (Black & Red Flags / 3 Stag Antlers). The Stuttgart stadtwappen is a rampant black stud. The Nassau one would have been from Prussia. Although post war it was deemed part of the state of Rheinland Pfalz. The crowned rampant lion is the seal of the Duchy of Nassau.
Congrats !!

Andrew : Thanks for the great information . Bernd .

Glad I could help out. Sometimes I think we need to share as much information as we can with one another, because certainly those who wore these items can no longer tell us in most cases.
