Hi, sorry for the late reply.
I have done a few Luft swords and 1st Luft daggers now , replacing the leather on the scabbards and grips.
I have just recently restored scabbards and replaced grip wire on 2nd Luft daggers.
I really enjoy doing these and look forward to the challenges each restoration presents.
Best wishes
Ian

in the early 70s I had a NSFK dagger. Had that blue thin leather on the handle and scabbard. Well, it was all missing off it.
My friend and I got a hold of this leather ,,IF I remember right called 'Moroccan leather'. It was the perfect color. Did a pretty decent job for the first time and being teenagers. I remember it was hell getting the stuff to stay on..

What do you use?,a type of glue? Must be something thin!
