Hi , I got some bad thread on a sa blade and would like to pass a tap over it but dont know what size it is ? can anyone help me with this .....thanks

The threads are metric and are not all the same. You need to buy a metric thread gauge-available at any large hardware/tool store.

I can do that , but I dont know if I trust myself enough to say yeh that fits and then mess it up cause I picked the wrong one, I would of thought SA daggers were all threaded the same size hmm.

Pick what you think is correct, thread a piece of scrap, try the tang nut. It will fit or not.

If not, try again laugh

Hi Wes,

I pulled my Carl Heidelberg Sa apart and checked it with my metric thread gauge, and the one that fit perfectly was stamped "36" if that helps.
