I am looking at an item I am suspicious of and was wondering if is posible to make white post war material not glow under blacklight.

I've heard that tea/leaves are used to accomplish this.

Zorro,,,You can not assume the because it is postwar that it must glow. It is currently [always has been] possible to get white material that does not glow.

OK but if it does glow does that mean it is always post war or can prewar items glow.

Zorro, here is what I have read. If, a pre-war item that "normally" would NOT glow, is washed, post-war with a phosphate/phosphorus based laundry detergent it WILL glow, so yes, pre- war item can glow. Hope this helps, Regards, Leipzig
