Hello everyone, I am new here and own a nice Hitler youth dagger and an early NSKK dagger that I plan on hanging on to. I may buy another to have a 3 piece collection and have been looking at different pieces and still pondering. Any ideas out there for me.

Thanks Mike.

Hey Mike
Welcome to the forum! I think you'll find these guys the most knowledgeable on the planet about tr blades, so you're in the right place! I am a ring collector myself, so I'm prejudiced in my answer about what to collect next... but as for blades. I also began with an hj and then found a nice, early, superb condition SA dagger- really these don't break the bank anymore, and I think they are a good early piece that should be in any collection... I also found a good army dagger a nice starting point as well, I have a very nice alcoso that once again doesn't break the bank, but can be found in great condition at a good price. These are my only thoughts on beginning a knife collection, but again I'm newer to knives in any case. I'd still say save up for that chained Ss- and ask these guys (with pictures) before any purchase, you'll never go wrong by getting opinions first, and putting correct piece, quality condition before price any day of the week. The purchases I am most happy with weren't as a result of bargain hunting, but quality hunting. Best of luck to you in your research and searches, and welcome again to the hobby and the forum!- Mike

Thanks for the great reply. I would love to have a chained SS and could probably swing it but that would take away from my other passion that is classic mustangs, so I will probably look around for an army or glider dagger for now. Thanks again.

My current ride is a 73 mustang fastback with a 351, aluminum heads, comp 280 magnum cam, etc. It is alot of fun and hard to stay out of it lol. I probably won't end up being a hardcore dagger head but love the looks plus my German heritage probably draws me to them. Thanks again gents.
