I am like everybody else I would like to pick up a nice SS Dagger some day.

I will be 75 in May and I still drag race a 58 Plymouth Belvedere that turns in the 12 seconds at 110 Mph in the quarter mile and is street Legal
I have really enjoyed my time on the forum , I love it. Won't be able to buy many daggers but I sure enjoy looking at all the Nice ones you have .
Talked to a lot of nice Helpful people on the Forum.

Yes Sean someday I will get a nice SS Dagger smile I see you are a mechanic, I have worked on cars since I was about 12 13 years old. Built my first engine at about 14. I do all my own work on my Race car, except the machine work. I have built many classic cars and race cars in my lifetime . My 58 weighs over 2 ton and runs 12 seconds with a 1.65 60 ft smile Lots of 440 to make it go like that running a 5000 stall Convertor

Do You drag race and how old are you if I might ask.

I have a lot of friends from the UK that is in My International Christine Car Club . Great bunch of guys smile

Hi Bob i'm 49 i have worked on cars all my life, my drag car is a ford escort Mk2 RS2000.
i have fitted a sierra cosworth engine into it, its running about 380 BHP with a 100 shot of NOS.
It runs 11's at about 128 MPH at santa pod raceway,it could be quicker but grip is an issue.
It too is fully street legal, ( quite a few pissed off super car owners round here Lol )
I am currently building a 2 door ford consul classic in the pro street style mainly for drag racing
Although lack of time sees very little happening with it.

With 380 hp That car Flies, I street raced back in the later 50's and 60's Was a lot of fun back then and not so dangerous, was raised I a small town and raced down every back road and even main street. My First real Race car was a 1965 GTO With a 69Judge Ram air 4 $ speed. I had a 63 Dodge Like the ram chargers turned low 10's But I love my of 58 . One bad thing here in Idaho, It is always windy and the air is usually around 5-700 ft

Red,

First decide what king of SS dagger you want:

- RZM era.
- Early maker-marked.

Then consider using the "Wanted" forum to ask the guys if they have anything to sell.

Yea Sean I have a friend that has raced a 68 Road Runner since 1969 he started cutting it up when he first bought it Made lots of people mad because they wanted on and was on the waiting list. I was talking to him a few months ago and he was running about 11 seconds and I was running about 1250's or so and I had more engine then him but he was running a lot faster My Car weighs 4120 and he said well Bob I only weigh 2600 LBS If I weighed 2600 I would be running like, well just about the same 11 seconds smile
Posted By: seany Re: Hello from Idaho - 11/01/2016 11:08 PM
It's a fine balance between weight,power & grip
Posted By: Redsled Re: Hello from Idaho - 11/01/2016 11:37 PM
Yea Sean I have all three, Get my tires warm and no spin at all smile
