I am no longer receiving e-mail alerts for activity on selected threads-is it just me or have I missed something?

Check the settings in your profile under "MyStuff". Settings can get scrambled on occasion, usually when updates are performed on the software or servers. Usually only effects one or two people and it's fairly random.

Probably your ISP blocking mails from this domain then.
Try setting up a free account here http://www.mail.com/ or elsewhere, and see if they get through then.

My ISP provides a daily digest of all spam-nothing there..............

We're getting a lot of refused email back from different email providers including Yahoo, Hotmail, and several others. Apparently, they are now refusing email from automated mail servers unless an exception is entered. Since GDC uses an automated service for alerts and member notification, they are not getting through. Our mail server ip address is 198.154.230.206.
