A bigger part of my collection is now centred on Jet Age aviators items.
Most of it is acquired locally here in Norway and it is a very interesting collecting area for me as a former Air-Force proffessional.

The seats are from former RNoAF F-86F Sabre and F-16.

Trigger
Very nice collection. The seats are awsome, must have been hard to locate so complete.
I served in the Army 68 and 69 in South Korea, driver supplying Osan Air Base. Would get the Air Force officers anything they wanted for favors.
Got rides in a lot of prop craft, but never in the back seat of a F-4, always wanted one.

Both seats were not in that condition when I got them.
It has taken many years to get them so complete as on these pics, as correct details / parts are really hard to find.

Oh and the seat on the right has a parachute-rig from a F-104 jockey sitting on it ;-)

Some collectables, the B-58 Hustler escape capsule belongs to a fellow collector. Before and after restoration. Very cool!

The K-2 Flight helmet is mine, I have several other rare H.A. helmets and e-seats.

Collecting Aviation stuff is a great hobby!

Nice seats and helmets Trigger,

Wow,, what great stuff!!

- * in the mid 90s I'd see Soviet helmets like that in the Kiev bazar.. I remember I asked how much. $50.! [that was an enormous amount of money there at the time.] The following year they were $100. And, the year after $200. They were in perfect condition. One guy even had some sort of jet suit,,all in silvery material. Looked old,,maybe 50s, 60s. $500 for it and all its tubes , hoses etc.
By 2000, 2002 all that stuff was gone..

- Your first 2 photos,,the fighter jet helmets,,,what does something like that go for currently? Approximate is fine... Thanks...,G.

Here is a nice US Navy HGU-20/p flight helmet. It was tested by the Navy in the 1970's for use in fighter aircraft but was rejected.

The design was used by NASA in the early years of the Space Shuttle for the astronauts during launch and re-entry.
