I have been a Gear Head since I was 13 14 years old I have built many classic cars and Race Cars.
Been drag racing Since I was about 16 years old on back roads and some times down Main Street in a small Town in Idaho LOL.
Been racing at our Local Track Fire Bird Raceway ever since I got back from Nam in 1969, Believe it or not I just won a big event about a month ago at the age of 74 75 in May.
I Have built all my engines ,well except the machine work and do all my mechanical repairs, even still pull tyranny's from underneath,
Right at the Moment I have a 58 Plymouth I race I call Redsled . It is like the one in the Movie Christine. I know the real Owner of Christie his name is Bill Gibson , Lives in Florida He calls Redsled Christine on Steroids LOL.
She is running a 500 HP 440 727 tranny with manual Valve body and a Hughes 5000 stall Convertor.
Fastest I have ever went with her was a 12.48 at 109 Mph She runs a 1.68 60 ft and weighs 2 ton.
Here is a couple pictures of her .

Nice! You could take a '57, swap in a big block for the 292ci and get some real performance out of it wink

Back in the Later 50's early 60's I guess you would say I was a Ford man, I had about half dozen of the 49-51 Fords In 62 just before I went in the army I sold a nice 51 Victoria , All of mine were hooped up even had one I put an olds engine in it run Like a striped ape LOL When I come onto some pictures of the 57 of my friends I will post them for you . Very fast car and a great race car driver smile

Except for a brief affair with an '86 Firebird Formula, I was always a Ford man. From the '57 Fairlane to a '64 Fairlane 500 289 HiPro to a '68 Mustang fastback GT with the Cobra engine package. I did have a '68 Hurst Olds with the 455 engine for awhile but that was NOT a daily driver wink

Yes, the light little Fairlane with the 289 would surprise a lot of street racers, but the 427 Thunderbolt was really a monster wink My next door neighbor has a restored '57 Chevy Belaire but it has the Blue Flame 6.
