I've done pretty good at the big shows.. but not lately... For me to get 7 rings is a big deal for me!
I have always been deficient in Legion Condor / Spanish Civil War rings... Hitler really thought that IF he helped Franco that when he needed help Spain would join the Axis [Germany,Italy,Japan]. To his surprise Franco wanted no part in a world war.. Hitler was furious!
So,,here is one small grouping I got.. There is a photo ID reactivating a reservist. Also a small cloth patch,,and a really nice silk mini flag [very good quality] a small metal lapel pin,,,and,,,,a boxed Falangist ring in unissued condition. No enamel, paint. Might be silver. Spain wasn't big on hallmarking small silver items so I will have this tested..

in the complete haul photo you might notice a PC.. He is a Luftwaffe officer. Nice card,,he's wearing a flyers badge and something about the shoulder strap the dealer was going on about. He wanted way too much for it.. Whats great now days is that its a buyers market. I paid about a little over half.... I don't care about any of it,,,only whats on the finger!
This is only a preliminary blow up.. I got to clean, edit it and it will be much clearer, better, etc.. Skull for sure. Maybe with oaks on each side.....

Next.. I did it!! I bought a WW1 [?], ring... Andy has had it for many years and I always admired it..
Don't know anything about it.. has 'The German Sword' on band and date 1914 - 1918 with a iron cross at each end., 835 silver,.. Made to look like a sword rounded into a ring:

,, This one I'm still a little bit in awe of.. For us ring collectors we all have this pattern both with rivet and without.. But not in this good of a condition! , IF you do then congrats because they were a popular and usually well worn ring:

The Waffenfarbe Guide in the GDC Reference Library has all the colors defined. But to answer the question, for the Luftwaffe, Blue was Medical Staff, Black was Air Ministry Staff or Engineers, and Brown was Signals. Administration was Green.
