Thats a great topic we have here. Excellent copies,,reproductions,,counterfeits. Meant to deceive and defraud us out of our money!

There seem to be more copies out there but the quality isn't of the SuperFakes of a few years ago... They're pretty good but no SF..

- Here's an example.. With the bad photos, lighting, distance, focus they can make a mediocre fake look original or a SF!..

This a known pattern. A favorite among Skull ring collectors. They will go that extra mile to get it even though their gut is saying ,,screaming SuperFake!,,,or at last fake wink

Up close this looks terrible. Its only when presented like this that some say, 'F**k this I'm going for it'.! 'Yeah baby I finally got one!'..
- And, with some proper aging like here [same ring] it really looks the part....

Be careful guys. take your time,,look, compare,,think. You will see problems and save yourself money. And, you can always ask here,,,

Yes Gaspare and Stephen, a fake,...... but I do like the box smile

For comparison I have a little collection of German signet rings from 1900-1945, not directly WW2-Nazi related , but civil rings from that period. That are common not expensive rings, most of them silver or brass .
It helps me to look what is period usual concerning material, silver stamps, soldering, aging, wear and so on.

Benten yes,, when up close you can see its bad just from the photos.. But the way they take the photos it's possible it could pass to newcomers to this subject area..

Spitfire... I don't like unplated/unwashed Alpacca rings... They will turn your finger blackish within a few hours.
- Usually during the 3rd reich era they were silver alloys and brass [messing] with a plate or wash.... From everything I've seen and learned over the years,,,,who would buy a ring that discolors your finger when you wear it! , I'm not saying they did not make a few patterns out of Alpacca. But, they either had the plate or wash... My example was from the lot Odal and I turned up years ago. Labeled and in silver..

Remember. This is a cool looking ring. It was reproduced for years after the war so there are many out there that will display proper aging! Be careful!
