Chase it down man! I think it has a decent chance. The photos are just throwing me off. But the engraving looks ok. Only concern for me is the lack of a sizing seam, but it could be the light. And the ring width, but again, could be the light.
No harm in getting more pics. Or if the guy's a friend, have him send it to you, or send it to straight to Don. It'll be in safe hands. Ive done it before {sent it to Don, never even saw the ring in person} and it saved me money on a rune ring.
Again, no harm in trying for a possibly good ring!
