O.K. Thanks for all of you who have provided your valuable opinions. Actually it's not the decals caught my eyes in the first place, but it's the fact that this one is a DD HKP. As far as I know, HKP succeeded SE in the late 1941 or early 42 (some source states as late as 1943) and the double decal practice were most popular during the year 1940. So it seems there at least 1 year gap between the two regulations. Can anyone explain to me if there is any possibility that you can ever find a DD helmet on late M40 model or even on a M42 helmet?
