The Beaver books contain this data, as does the German version of the Schlicht/Kraus book on the Reichswehr. The latter, of course, does not trat the textiles in the era after 1933/5. Finally, photographs alone do not even begin to give you a sense of colors in the original. One thing about field grey, as so much in our beloved Germany, is its infinite variety. For the very lucky to find in exceptional circumstances, the textile firms offered salesmen's catalogs of uniform cloth, which are marvelous things. I have seen one example of this item in my forty years of collecting and I wish I had bought it. It had all varieties of field grey for various uses ca. 1938. A treasure. Peter Jenkins in the UK has RZM samples of the most intriguing sort, but he posts here no longer, much to our collective regret.
