Had a member emailing me about Lionhead rings... For whatever reason since I've been on this site the 'search' function has never worked for me. Couldn't get to mine and no search.. He was able to send photos of his.. A nice ring but postwar.

- this topic shows for me a good period ring. band usually thinner but this is a small size and smaller sizes have thicker bands..

I also like it, in spite of thicker band.

That looks a lot like one I was being asked an opinion on via PM on waf- I did not think the ring nor a group shot were period pieces- as I understood only the degner ad existed for the one much like the silver lion shown in Gaspares collection. I know there were earlier and I have an early solid but lightweight one- very old, worn but not worn out- I had understood that many were freikorps inspired or purchased by- but always I did not think the one above was a period piece- but there it is- the very ad! Congrats on nice lions all around. I would not have believed it without the ad, and would be very cautious in any purchase of a lion still as the number of post wars etc must outnumber the originals 10000 to one or more. Anyhow this one is nicely stamped 900 is solid and one of my favorite rings. I think it is very early

Mike,, your looks pretty good from the blurry photos...

Yes there is the ad from Degner and others as the 2 above ads are period.. The lionhead was a period 3rd reich made and sold pattern.

Here is another- thin band, no mark but looked like it held a stone! Larger size, maybe a 12 or 13!
