I have a nice SS officers Alu. buckle which sadly has the catch snapped off.

Is there any way to fix the problem so it could be displayed on a belt ??

Best, John

John,

An SS Officers Belt Buckle is certainly worth the effort to display. There may be a simple solution.

an image of the broken catch should give way to some good ideas and suggestions

No. I got it like you see it. Without the hook.

Mold a catch out of aluminium.
As far as securing it to the backplate, you can glue it w a good adhesive or you can get inventive and try a less "permanent' way of attaching it.
I'd go for the latter.
Good Luck!
