Well, as others have pointed out, it just doesn't look anything like an original. The shape of the shell, the fake paint, the absurd decals, the incorrect manufacture of the liner, the too-thick, wrong color, and wrong leather straps, the bogus markings on the shell and liner, the cheesy bolts.

The second best thing to do is to do a search on para helmets on this forum and compare it side by side with good ones, or to buy a few good reference books which show good helmets, such as the book "German Paratroops" by Robert Kurtz, or the Baer book, and study them.

The best thing to do is go to major shows such as the SOS and handle originals and acquire knowledge and experience BEFORE investing any money in the hobby.
