Denny,
Is the grip length on Army daggers - the part between the pommel and the crossguard the same on all daggers ?

mvogel is right; for sure not the same length. They even vary between same kind of grips eg. white/plaster filled ones or glass grips group or those often seen yellow ones.

Denny,
I cannot read that Texas Talk of yours !
The reason for the question is the "1st Railway" Dagger that is supposed to have a longer grip. I was wondering whether regualar Army daggers sometime had longer ones. I am not talking about a tnity amount, but 1/4" or 3/8"

The only grips I've seen that were noticeable longer than a standard Army grip were the KLAAS (black/black base, painted) grips when you talk about 1/4" - 3/8" differences and they had a slightly different pattern to the grooves and lands, too (easy to spot).
There is a small difference in most if not all of the standard Army grips. I've never miked them to find the exact differences though (of the standard Armys).
As far as the Army on the right in the link referred to here, I believe it to be "not a classic KLAAS Army". Scabbard detail is also different than any Klaas I've seen. JMHO......and you can take it and $10 and buy a latte at Starbucks.....
