Hello Johnny, The grip is not as perfect as the later mass produced daggers, these were each custom made. I would worry about one that looked perfect. The crossguards are also made differently, look closely. And unlike the Eickhorn early "A" daggers all I have seen were ground Rohms.

Barker- You are probably correct, I have little knowledge of these very early pieces. Congrats on what appears to be a very rare find!

I am fortunate to have one the these early daggers and also, as Dave H. knows, I have an extra early grip eagle. Neither one of my eagles looks like the first dagger in this thread and mine have the prongs on the reverse, much like the second pattern eagle.
