Here is what I have thus far, in the way of Forestry tabs. I have been accumilating these for the past few years. It is amazing how difficult it is to find these items.
Although I am mainly a Luftwaffe collector, I am still attracted to this service, as Hermann Goering was in charge of all Forestry and Hunting Organizations.
I have no idea what the "SA" style tabs represent. All I know is that they are the early Forestry ranking system. If anyone can shed any light on them for me, please let me know. One of them is embroidered in a silver thread and the other is in Gold.
Grey tabs- Heer Forestry Service Dk Green Tabs- State Forestry Service Brown Tabs- Private Forestry Services
I am still missing some black examples, that would represent the Luftwaffe forestry service.

Here is my set of Forestry tabs and shoulder boards .They are for a LW Forestry Meister /Hauptmann and were per previous owner ,a uncle of my cousin in Berlin, worn by him at Goering's Karinhalle Forest Estate. The shoulder boards have a silver thread going through the green that makes them sparkel. Both have a gray velvett underlayment.

My 2nd set of Forestry shoulder boards , equal to Oberleutnant rank . The boards again have a silver thread going through the green , now on dark green velvett . Boards are still tied together with brownish thread near the eyes for the buttons .

Bernd the boards and collar patches that you show are not Luftwaffe. Luftwaffe collar patches are black and the last pair of shouldercords that you show are luft sonderfuhrer.

Gary: Thanks for the info . As I recall now, the uncle of my cousin in Berlin , served also on the former Goering Estate after the war as a Forest Meister but for Mr. Hoeniger ,leader of the DDR , since he took over that estate as his private hunting grounds :--so much for everyone being 'equal' in the WORKERS PARADISE ! I had assumed ,since he had worked on Goering's Estate before the war ,that these would be LW FORESTRY items .He gave me his DDR hunting tunic and visor cap when I visited my cousin like one year after the re-unification. I posted these items under the 'East and West-German Police Uniforms ' a while back . Thanks, Bernd .

Hi, Nice looking insignia. Does anyone know what the green oak leaf collar tabs on HMSbrinmaric.com are? He is calling them Forestry but after seeing what is here I am not sure. They are good looking tabs though. Thanks
