Dagger of French aviation officer of the 50s, I believe that before the war had the white handle and the post war french daggers had black colour in the grip, but I'm not sure.
Any comments or opinions are welcome

Nice dagger. White grip is for officers and black is for NCOs.

Lwov is correct that the grip coloration before and after the war is the same. The materials differ.
Yours was produced in 1962 and is a nice warrant officers dagger.
The white gripped ones are available from after the war but they are much harder to find when looking for the early dated ones like yours.
