Hello,
I purchased this extremly rare miniature dagger a few weeks ago. The owner was a very high ranked officer, he was the chief of staff of the River Forces for a short period. I hope you like it.

It's length is 12,8 cm = 5 inches. I was lucky to purchase a few photos and documents with the dagger also.

Thank you John.
I made photos with the normal River Forces dagger for size comparison.

Hi Tobi, the answer is so simple: the full size dagger came directly from the family. I bought it from the son of the original owner. I know it is very similar to the Royal Yugoslavian M1924/II Navy dagger, but it is Hungarian.

Janos: You are one lucky man... with such an amazing collection. Now, if you could only give me some good news for once about my Hungarian dagger/fake collection, I would be a happy man. Instead, you keep confirming my wife's opinion that I am an idiot. Thanks a lot, buddy. John

Hi Carlo, the miniature is a newbie in my collection. But I think you saw the full size dagger, late at night, after beers and palinkas. Perhaps I don't remember correctly? JohnZ, You have a beautiful original Hungarian Air Forces officer dagger. Dozens of collectors would be happy with ONE original piece. Best regards, Janos

Hi Janos, having decided that my Hungarian Air dagger is as good as a nine dollar bill, how about my Yugo air dagger, do I need another refund?

Simon, the maker mark looks OK, but the pictures are too small sized to tell you anything for sure. Is the scabbard covered with leather?
In the subject of Yugoslavian daggers Tobi is your man. I hope he will post his comments on your dagger here.

Hello Janos, Great job and thread. I willpost two daggers currently on Ebay, Yugo AF. The first is original in my opinion and is the locally produced version with the slightly curved blade and scabbard. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...%26otn%3D4%26ps%3D10This one closes in a few hours.

The first one seems to be a bargain at $356.
Here are some close ups of mine.

Simlaw,
To my eye yours is correct with both marks correct.
A truly beautiful example.
On the two daggers on Ebay, I note that the reproductions often sell for more than the originals.
