hi everyone heres a new bayonet i got, its a military police one, it has matching numbers on the scabbard and on the hilt, it also has some stamps on the think edge of the blade, and a weird stamp that kind of looks like a star
i hope that someone out there can help me with some of this, the hilt and scabbard are stamped SA 25 and on the blade edge it says K27 and the weird star thing, any information anyone can tell me about this bayonet would be gratefully recieved
Thank you in advance, Cameron[Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image]

To my knowledge the dress bayonet has an incorrect leather frog. I can't tell if the scabbard is repainted or not. Is the blade maker marked?

The Police bayonet is in fair condition. Missing a blade washer. Those can be purchased. Nice piece. I imagine someone will inform you about the markings and give more informative comments.

The "S.A. 25" is a Prussian Police mark. The "S" is for "Schultzpolizie" or Municipal Police, "A" is for the District of Aurich, and "25" is the issue number for the bayonet.

djJoe, thanks for the useful information you have given me, can you tell me what frog it should have as I have no clue about them at all, it doesn't look like the scabbard been repainted in my opinion but I may be wrong, the blade only has solinger sthal or something similar stamped on the blade and that's it, cheers Cameron

As to the leather frog - the following link is a good one to see some dress bayonet frogs.
