Stephen,,, that Luft ring above. The maker/designer said he got lazy and modeled it after a college ring he was wearing! The 1st generation of that pattern was pretty nice [details etc] but soon it was copies off the copies off the copies!!. But in the 70s many were sold.....
Now that sniper ring... I've seen other patterns of sniper ring before . But deciding to make it a sniper ring wasn't the smartest thing to do.. Many Germans hadn't even seen the real insignia! The insignia was hard to get even if awarded.. To make a late war ring like that.
