I have seen one set just last year in an auction in Germany, to be truthful I never bid on them as I wasn't keen on them and thought the mark spurious at best, unfortunately I did not copy the pictures to be able to show them.

Hello Gary I sent pics to both Tom Wittman and to Paul Hogle Tom said they were perfectly fine and authentic he said the mark is identical to a pair of brass that he has had in his personal collection for a long time He said they are the first aluminum he has seen so marked but they are period and authentic. Paul liked them also thanks I just bought them They appear mint and un issued cheers and best Ryan

Hello Ryan, although I personally have never seen or handled such navy hangers with stamping there are several pictured in reference books and these look legit. Fits to what wittmann and Paul are telling. It might be either a sign that these hangers once have been delivered through navy channels or are part of a NCO navy dagger (the NCOs could get their daggers as part of their uniform from depots - contrary to officers who had to buy their daggers themselves).

Would be nice to see pics of your hangers.
