These two are my favorite and I thought it a good idea to dig these out and post here for all to enjoy. Thanks for looking.

Mikee, nice looking items. I am still learning my Imperial/Weimar. Are they Knigin-Luise-bund?

Joe,

Yes, Knigen Louise and not Ludwig which is an easy mistake to make. Big Grin

There's no mistake about it being one of the classiest, most beautiful designs of this era,
IMHO.

Mikee, thanks for the nice shot.

Anybody else got any nice imperial monograms or somesuch they can share with us? I'll have to take a look-round...

Best to all!

Bill

Joe, Bill,

You two are good! Yes, Napoleon's "Beautiful Enemy" Knigen Louise is correct. Dang! and I really thought someone was going to mistake it for Ludwig. I knew the monogram to be Queen Louise of Prussia but never knew who wore them and still not sure.

Another example of the Queen Louise monogram for ya.

I know of only one other Konigen-Luise-bund ring that's in the Deutsches Historisches Museum in Germany, made of silver I think. But this one is made of gold and still has some pretty good detail over all. I think I'll post this for my fellow ring collectors as well. Thanks for looking.
