Yes, this would be considered a mismatch by most collectors of bayonets. Even one number off, while a curiosity that begs the question of how can this happen, is a mismatch.

Early G & K code bayonets are not often seen, but the holy grail of bayonet collecting is unsharpened mint condition matching number K98s, especially the very late war (like late 44 or 45) and very early, IMHO.
