Sad to say the piece I opened this topic with,,the owner had passed away a long while ago..
The family had this and many other high end items that went to a auction.. Somewhere between them thinking which auction and other details this MC brooch had gotten
lost!... Don't think it was ever recovered
A wonderful cased example gone....
So actually what I've been seeing there is a lot of variation with these.. Some very slight differences some not even close... Wondering if any period documentation on these. Were they 'official' etc..
Really hope another turns up ,,it'd be really nice to do a observation on it, a comparison,etc...
