Yes, all pre WWII German made in 1934.
Hard to guess who cleaned it up.Probably, someone just wanted it to look better. Many vets saw these bring-backs as part of history, but to some they were just Nazi Knives, or Kraut Knives. A neighbor of mine had an SA he used for a yard knife. He ground off most of the crossguards and put an edge on the blade. I saw a RAD hewer with a razor edge used for splitting cedar shingles and as a child I had a friend who played with a chained SA or SS dagger. I own a much sharpened early EP&S HJ knife used as a utility knife.
