Here is my latest woodwork pickup. Bought locally from the ww2 vets nephew. Blade is a bit tired and the grip has a good chip on the front, however it hasn't been cleaned. It's an early Boker, with plated nickel silver fittings, group marked I. The top fitting is numbered to the original owner, hopefully it's in the list or maybe Ross has the number in his database. The number is 31250. The dagger also has it's original verticle hanger, which has a small hole in it, most likely where the vet nailed it to something. The blade reverse looks to have been ground, but professionally done.

Are the scabbard fittings also plated?

I've never seen nickel-plated fittings on an early dagger.

The scabbard fittings appear to be nickel plated also.
