Collectors I like many of you scan the internet and sites in search of information and things! I always share info if I find something! Today I saw a very nice Army dagger! On WAF Eickhorn army with late all matching Grey/Nickle type finish. 3 line presentation to crossguard. Minty blade - lower scabbard has some minor discoloration to finish. Featured in the Wittmann army book on page 196. $1575. Shipping priority mail in US $25. PM or email [email protected]Now my question is would you pay for a dagger in a book! Here is some pics!

Now as many of you know Tom Kendal or WW2collector as a advanced collector I bring this up!
I believe for many reasons army collector,type,Eickorn,in book,personalized, all adds up to a fair
dagger wanted in the collector world!
Sure makes a fella think hard!
What do German daggers folks think!

It is certainly a very nice dagger. Tom K has top notch daggers!
Here is my Pack featured in Wittmanns book. I think being in a book does add value.

I have seen collectors spend money on worse stuff!
Price is always a consideration! But nice is nice is nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My "Carl H. Glauth" / "In Frankfurt a/M", Hirschfanger / Jagdschwert will be in the 3rd book by Volker Lobner of Frankfurt, Germany.
The blade was made by Johann Friedrich Eickhorn, Wilhelms Sohn (1784-1862) of Solingen and completed by Carl H. Glauth (1827-1902) of Frankfurt.
The sword was owned by Heinrich Sticksel (1815-1880), of Ober Morlen, who was the Court hunter and gardener for Wilhelm Hugo Freiherr von (Baron) Wetzel (1814-1886) of Schloss (Castle) Ober Morlen.
There is a You Tube video of the swords made by the Glauth family of Frankfurt, Jacob Glauth (1790-1856) and his son, Carl H. Glauth (1827-1902).
The swords are in the Frankfurt Museum and are from the collection of Christian Alexander Fellner (1800-1883) and were donated to the Frankfurt Museum in 1883.
The date 2015 at the top of the page is from another book by Volker Lobner, this is just Volker Lobner's idea of how my sword will look in the future book.
The books of Volker Lobner are mostly for use by museums but are sold to the general public.
At the bottom of the page, you will see my name and another date "11 2021". I bought the sword in Nov. 2021 on eBay because it had my surname (Wetzel) scratched on the scabbard throat.
