John,great pieces you have there,thanks for posting.I am a beginning collector,so have much to learn.I would like to ask if the cavalry style frogs with strap,are legit for a KS98?I mean,could they be worn like that standard,or is it a replacement for a black KS98 frog?

I would also like to ask you a question;were these Pioneer bayonets always privat purchased?The different shape of pommels;is that a characteristic for the maker,or could soldiers choose between diffirent pommels?
