Want to say many amazing items shown in this forum!
Any body have any glass or what they call frozen juice handles!
I remember JR sold the most beautiful red color one to Bob Rodgers in the old days!
Can any one of you advanced folks tell me how they were named or made!
I have to look back and find some I had way back!
Always loved them~!
If I recall I saw them in army daggers only!.
Any one see in Luft?
Who is the keeper now of all the good ones! Ford Crews and nice ones! Guy in texas whose name evades me had so many till he sold lots to Bob Rodgers!

Paul,
Ford Crews passed on in 2017. The 'guy in Texas" might be Denny Roach, but he sold his daggers and got into other stuff. Lugers ? The fellow you probably mean is Tom Kendall or WW2-Collector. He has not visited here in about 6 months.

Your right Dave
Thats them! Giants in the field!
You can't replace for sure!
But!
The fun is bringing up their stuff and adding!
Look, you can search the archive threads, but thats nof fun! Collectors old and new want to see it and discuss with others! Or its boring and no passion to instill in people who don'tknow what they don't know!
Mods have a treasure of stuff to see and bring up! This site had the most knowledge and it was shared, bring it up and use the knowledge that was given of folks no longer with us!
Show folks what they missed or why follks had passion wanting those things!
Get people excited! Thats how it was! No good to sit a a mountain of info or great stuff in collection but not want to be bothered and passion is only for finding things or selling !
And telling people look it up yourself!
Its easy to get bored but thats why we onlyhave 5 members! Even if you don't know a potato from a SS dagger you can bring up those old threads and pics and start again!
Babe Ruth has been dead for a long time but folks still talk or discuss him!

Hello pvon, although I cannot compete with names mentioned by you or Dave, those grips you do mean are obviously the artificial amber grips (the grip-names you mentioned were only given by those who do not know about them). They come in variants. some of them have small metal(?) disks integrated, some other material, some without them, come in differend color shades. All to do the impression of amber. I once did own a very nice from PACK, shown here. Regards,

I have to add: As the firms obviously did buy it from a separate producer who did made them to fit most different tangs and blades the tang opening of the grips is often wide and the grip often tends to wobble. Nevertheless period done. Regards,

Wotan! You sir have been showing wonderful stuff on this forum for longer than I can remember! You don't take a back seat to others!
This forum would not be alive with out you!
I look forward to seeing your stuff as always and learning!
I have collected for over 50 yrs but many of you have over the top collections and knowledge!
I just want collectors to pause and see what Ford Crews,Denny and others I have forgot at this moment,Old age,
So do you think they made them like this? Or heat over time helped changed color?
Amber! BoyI that sounds interesting! I have had some nice orange ones yrs ago! They were so sweet!
And as I said before! JR had the most beautiful red one at one time! Bob Rodgers bought it!
I might have to ask Bob what happened to it!
But it still bothers me because it was a beautiful item!
What about luftwaffe daggers? Ever see them with amber?
Thanks for sharing! This forum is lucky to have you!

Just can't help calling them frozen juice! HA! I have some pics of them some where!
Wonder if Paul Hogle or Bob IQ had some! I might have had gotten 1 or 2 from Houston Coates! Another giant in edge weapons!!!!! Was lucky to vist his collection a few times! Makes you weak in the knees just thinking about it!
I bought some of my best daggers from him! Filled my car once!

He kept that dagger!!!!!!! He is in love with it as he sold most of his daggers!
So I now know where it lives!
Asked JR if he remembered it! Yup! It was made by Tiger!
Hope to get a pic of this beauty!
