Hi all.

On the past weekend show at Toronto I observed a M33 SS dagger with the maker mark Perfectum (Carl D Schaaff). The dagger was for sale by E medals. I have saw SA daggers by this maker but not SS. Did this maker ever manufacture SS daggers?

Hello, Number One, and welcome to GDC !

I've been watching SS daggers for a long time and have not seen one by CD Schaff / Perfectum either ..... but who knows?

I would say approach with much caution but and open mind.

Does Emedals have a good reputation ?

Hi Dave

Thanks for your reply and your welcome. E medals is hit and miss in my opinion so I wouldn't bank on them. The sales girl claimed it was a full original and it was priced accordingly. It is not a maker I have heard of and I did not like what it was like in hand so ruled it out from my stand point. But I am left wondering if this maker even made SS daggers. Is there a list of M33 makers available for reference? If they were not a maker that would rule it out in a hurry.

Thanks
Steve

For what it's worth, the Fisher Reference does not list them as making SS daggers.

No list I have ever seen included them, even as "possibles".

They are out of print. I think Mr. Fisher passed away some time back.
