A very nice saber, for a more precise answer it may take a detailed Pack catalog to see what they offered in that time period. Speaking generally, the blade has some Imperial style motifs for the German Army with their sabers oftentimes expropriated for other entities which is why (IMO) that style etch might be seen on a mining sword. But for the TR era plain blades what is seen for the most part is a reversal of the Imperial era practice where almost all officer's swords were etched. (As well as quite a few of the EM types (Imperial era) which routinely are sometimes misidentified by some dealers/others as officer's swords.) With this saber appearing to be most likely a period special order in between the plain blades, and the completely made to order examples with personalized etches. Well Done!! Best Regards, Fred
