I purchased this online in the hopes of it being real. The pictures were of poor quality, but the seller had a money back policy so I bit on it. When I got it in hand the quality was so appalingly bad that there was no question it was fake. I got my money back, and got to keep the ringas a curiosity. Here it is in all it's glory, an example of everything that could be wrong with a ring. Enjoy!

The issues with the ring are these: made of a cheap pot metal rather than brass or alpacca, bubbles and pops all over, poor finish quality inside, lettering looks to be attached rather than stamped. Oh, yeah and my German is rusty, but I'm pretty sure there is a "D" in Engelland. It's really almost laughable.

hi dak41
sorry to see this happen to any one but truthfully this is a terrible example of a german ring there is no detail at all this is what you should pay attention to detail then go further the markings etc all ways remember when the germans made something it was quality not quanity and i will tell you what some people in this hobby tryed to tell me for years they called it late war production thats a crock if the germans didnt have the materials at the time like 1944 they were still producing anything they still put thier heart n soul in to it to make it decent so again sorry you get hooked on these fantisy rings but best you come to my school and if you dont listen i will expell you from my teachings my over fifty years of experence is worth it stay well and stay away till you learn better best andy militarynut

You're absolutely right Andy. Anything the Germans made had top quality and painstaking detail, even when made of cheap materials. When I bought this, I only had 2 dark and blurry pics to judge by. Fortunately the seller was honest and refunded me. The lesson I learned is always ask for clear detailed pics before you buy.

something to check.. IF its a auction always check their other items..
IF they're selling a few items and those photos are nice and clear but the ring photos are bad its usually means there is a problem..
